Her drills sometimes just seem like a lot of circles, turns and skating end-to-end (I’m told this is overspeed) to the casual observer, yet my son always gets off the ice exhausted and exhilarated. The true magic, however, happens in a game when I see the speed and the moves that have not just led to more goals and assists, but he has moved from the third line to the first in a matter of weeks, and leads the team in power play goals.  Shannon, I know you’re humble, but as my son says “It’s all because of you!”
